Announcement – Operations Directorate | New Brunswick Field Unit
Dear colleagues,
I would like to inform you of changes to the organizational structure of the Operations Directorate, which came into effect on June 5, 2025.
The Northern New Brunswick Field Unit and New Brunswick South Field Unit were combined into a single Field Unit. This new operational field unit will enhance service delivery and contribute to sustainable operations. Building upon the existing strong collaborative relationships between team members, the New Brunswick Field Unit will support a holistic approach to reconciliation with Indigenous partners across the province and align with stakeholders and partners at the provincial level.
Appointment of Julie M. LeBlanc, Field Unit Superintendent, New Brunswick
Julie began her career as a student in the Public Service in 1998 at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. She steadily rose through the ranks while occupying key roles in program management and as a strategic advisor. Julie joined Parks Canada in 2018 as Field Unit Superintendent, Southern New Brunswick, where she has been responsible for the overall management of Fundy National Park, the Carleton Martello Tower, the Carleton Street site as well as the national historic sites of the Blockhouse and Saint Croix Island.
Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université de Moncton.
Please join me in wishing employees from the New Brunswick Field Unit a smooth transition to this new structure, and every success to Julie in her new role.
I would also like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the leadership of Denny Richard who stepped into the role of Field Unit Superintendent, Northern New Brunswick on an acting basis for the past six months.
