Conclusion of the first collective bargaining session

Dear colleagues,

Representatives from the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and Parks Canada concluded their first collective bargaining session this week.

The parties met on January 28 and 29, 2026 to exchange their respective books of proposals. The meetings provided an opportunity to seek clarifications and begin productive discussions.

The discussions at the bargaining table were cordial, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to negotiating in good faith to conclude a collective agreement.

We anticipate a constructive round of negotiations that will lead to a collective agreement aligned with Government of Canada direction and fair to all Parks Canada members and Canadian taxpayers.

The next bargaining session will take place in March 2026. We will keep you informed of progress as negotiations advance, while respecting the legislative framework and the bargaining process.

Best regards,

Rawan El-Komos

Vice President, Human Resources and Employee Wellness
