Operations Directorate Organizational Update – New regional structure

Dear colleagues,

Further to the Interim PCEO’s recent announcement of the Operations Directorate leadership team, I would like to provide additional context on the regional restructuring.

These changes are part of Parks Canada’s broader sustainability efforts aimed at strengthening our operational model, supporting regional efficiencies and contributing toward our financial reduction targets by streamlining operations management and oversight structures.

As part of the restructuring, reporting relationships will be changed for some Field Unit Superintendents and some executive director office staff to Executive Directors in the new regional structure. These team members have already been informed of the changes.

 Effective September 1, 2026, the new regions will be configured as follows:
