Occupational Health and Safety

In compliance with the Canada Labour Code, Part II and the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Parks Canada is committed, among other things, to provide occupational health and safety training.  All employees are required to complete, at a minimum, OHS Level 1 training in addition to job-specific training.

Employee and Family Assistance Program

To access EFAP services call 1-800-268-7708 or 1-800-567-5803 for hearing impaired, you may also chat with one of our mental health professionals to set up an appointment (password: canada) chat service is available Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Eastern time), excluding statutory holidays.

The service is offered either face-to-face, by telephone or virtually - please specify your preferences when calling the EFAP. If you’ve completed counselling recently, let us know about your experience: fill out our client survey.

Workplace Harassment and violence prevention and resolution

The Centre of Expertise in Prevention and Resolution of Harassment and Violence in the Workplace (CEHV) is there to support all employees in preventing and managing situations of harassment and violence in the workplace. We act as the front-line regarding all questions or concerns related to harassment and violence by offering confidential advice, training and conflict resolution solutions. The CEHV works to promote a respectful and safe working environment, while collaborating with internal partners to respond effectively to everyone's needs.
