The Signal room
Signal Hill National Historic Site
The Signal room, located at 230 Signal Hill Road adjacent to the Visitor Centre, boasts spectacular panoramic views of Signal Hill, Cabot Tower, and St. John’s Harbour, creating an unforgettable backdrop for your special event. This indoor venue can accommodate up to 100 guests, making it the perfect setting for any occasion.
Group size The Signal room boasts event space that can accommodate up to 60 people in a table format, 80 in an auditorium-style setup, or 100 standing guests. Amenities You’ll have access to a convenient wet kitchenette equipped with a sink, microwave oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The venue also features accessible washrooms, on-site Wi-Fi, a retractable screen, and a ceiling-mounted digital projector (laptop required) to meet all your event needs. Additionally, there is a small outdoor deck with two picnic tables. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the spectacular views. Availability The Signal room special event permits are available from June to October between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Whether you need the space for a half day or the whole day, we have options to suit your needs. Please note that the set-up and tear-down of any tables, chairs or event-related equipment must occur within your event permit timeframe. Requests for other dates or times may be considered upon request but could incur an additional fee. The Signal room is subject to Parks Canada’s pre-scheduled bookings so blackout periods may apply.
