Activities and experiences

Fort Wellington National Historic Site

Notice: Visitor centre closed for the season – site remains open

Due to a small fire earlier this spring, the Visitor Centre at Fort Wellington will be closed for the summer for cleaning and repairs. While the exhibits and gift shop will be inaccessible, visits to the historic fort will continue as usual. A temporary welcome kiosk is set up beside the Visitor Centre, and the washrooms will remain accessible via the back entrance throughout the season.

Fort Wellington provides many opportunities to engage in fascinating educational activities. You can stroll through the fort with interpreters who provide engaging talks and presentations, learn how to load a cannon or complete a children's scavenger hunt.
