Xplorers at Green Gables Heritage Place
NEW The Xplorers program at Green Gables Heritage Place is now offered as a paid experience, which includes an exclusive series of collectible rewards inspired by native Wabanaki–Acadian tree species of Prince Edward Island
Designed exclusively for Green Gables, each reward showcases a different tree species that includes its Mi’kmaw name, recognizing the enduring relationship between the Mi’kmaq and the natural environment.
Visitors can collect the series as part of their Xplorers experience and take home a unique reminder of the natural and cultural stories rooted in this place.
How to Participate
- Ask about the Xplorers program when you arrive at Green Gables Heritage Place. *Fees apply
- Discover the site and grounds by following the activities in the guide.
- Before leaving, stop by the welcome desk to pick up your collectible Parks Canada Xplorers reward and recognition.
Accessibility and flexible options
The Xplorers program is flexible and self-directed so you can participate in ways that suit your family's interests, abilities, and time.
- Complete as many or as few activities as you wish, whether in a single visit or over several visits.
- You don’t have to complete every activity to earn the reward.
- The variety of activity options supports different learning styles, abilities, and preferences, so every child can engage in meaningful ways that feels right for them.
- Family-supported participation: activities can be adapted by a parent or guardian to suit the child.
