Regular fees still apply for experiences and services not covered by a national park pass, such as pool admission at the Radium Hot Springs.
2026 fee adjustment
Under the Service Fees Act, Parks Canada, among other federal departments and agencies, is required to automatically adjust its fees to accommodate inflation. Fees and pricing for Parks Canada administered places will increase on January 1, 2026.

- In 2020, Parks Canada began a cycle of adjusting fees, every two years, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
- The next CPI increase of 10.7% is scheduled for January 1, 2026 and will apply to all Parks Canada fees. The prices updated in January 2026 will be valid until the next scheduled increase on January 1, 2028.
- Fees do not exceed the costs of delivering the service to visitors. Visitor fees only recover a portion of the costs for delivering services to visitors, keeping visitor experiences more affordable.
Entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites, where revenues are kept to support visitor services and facilities. This means that every time you visit a park or site you are investing in its future — and in a legacy for future generations.
Definitions for fee categories
The following definitions apply to entry and service fee categories unless otherwise specified.
Adult - Person 18 to 64 years of age
Senior - Person 65 years of age or over
Youth - Person 3 to 17 years of age
Child - Person under 3 years of age
Family - Available in the following combination of four family members (maximum 2 people aged 18 or older)
- two adults and two youths
- one adult and three youths
- two seniors and two youths
- one senior, one adult, and two youths
- four youths (siblings)
Youth 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older.

- The increase represents an increase of $2.25 per single entry adult, youth, or senior admission to Radium Hot Springs pools.
- Fees for additional services such as towel and bathing suit rentals will also be adjusted. These services have been calculated using a cost recovery model. This model considers replacement costs, staff time, and visitor volume— fees may differ between hot springs in Kootenay, Banff and Jasper national parks.
- Revenue collected through Radium Hot Springs pools admission, fees and park passes goes into the overall management of Kootenay National Park. A portion of this funding does support the Radium Hot Springs pools, which is a historic facility with high operating and maintenance needs.
