Discover the stories, secrets, and wonders of Fundy National Park. Each week, a new guest speaker explores a fascinating topic, offering fresh insights and unique perspectives.

Starry night stories

Explore the darkness, navigate the night sky, and discover the stories behind the constellations. Experience will begin indoors before heading outside to observe the stars and share tales inspired by the night sky. Program will be adapted in the event of cloudy weather.

Campfire: "Moonlit stories"

As the moonlight weaves through the forest, gather around the fire for an evening of stories and songs celebrating the Moon and its place in nature and culture. Bring along a mug to enjoy hot chocolate. In case of rain, activity moved inside Chignecto Pavilion.

Campfire: "Sounds Like Nature"

Come explore and experience the nature of sound shared in our local cultures through music, stories, and Mother Nature herself! In case of rain, activity moved inside Chignecto Pavilion.

Alma Beach Art

Using shells, rocks, sticks and seaweeds, work together to create a masterpiece that will be washed away during the next high tide.

Explore Alma Beach

A vast outwash of boulders, gravel, sand, and mud. This is the best place to experience the incoming and outgoing tides.

Explore Cannontown Beach

A rocky intertidal environment with many tide pools supporting a high diversity of intertidal life.

Explore Herring Cove Beach

A calm sheltered cove bordered by seaweed draped rocks. A good place to explore for marine life.

Geologist in residence

During this two-week residency, geologist and educator Catrina Russell will be exploring and sharing the geology of Fundy National Park through exhibits, talks, and other guided experiences.

August 14 7 pm (1.5 h) Bilingual Swimming pool parking lot Explore Cannontown Beach (guided walk) - Learn about marine life at the lower end of the tidal range and how the tides are shaped by terrestrial and extraterrestrial geology!
August 15 11 am to 12 pm Bilingual Headquarters Visitor Centre Creature Feature: Rocks (drop in session) - Sparkly rocks! Gems! Fossils! Acid testing! Explore Catrina's extensive personal collection and get the inside scoop on the region's geology.
August 17 8 pm (1 h) Bilingual Salt and Fir Centre
Guest night: Geology of Fundy (presentation) - Join Catrina as she shares the story of Fundy's geological history and how the park evolved over the ages.

Fundy Star Party

An annual favourite where friends from Royal Astronomical Society of Canada NB unveil the wonders of the night sky.
