Restricted Activity: Angling prohibition in Cascade Creek.

WHAT: Pursuant to Section 35(1) of the Canadian National Parks Act Fishing Regulations, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
Cascade Creek is closed to fishing.
WHERE: Cascade Creek. See attached map.
WHY: Westslope cutthroat trout are listed as a threatened species in Canada, and have recently been reintroduced to Cascade Creek. Angling is prohibited in Cascade Creek to reduce pressure on this sensitive new population as it establishes.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
