WHAT: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
The takeoff and landing of parachutes for skydiving and BASE jumping is prohibited in Banff National Park of Canada.

WHERE: The entirety of Banff National Park.

Definition: These activities are defined as jumping-based descents and are not considered forms of flight as defined under the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).

PENALTY:  Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
