What:

Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent: Install remote motion-activated trail cameras.

Where:

Riding Mountain National Park.

Why:

To prevent disturbance to wildlife at sensitive locations and protect the privacy of visitors. A research permit issued by Parks Canada is required to deploy
remote motion-activated cameras within Riding Mountain National Park.

Note:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act. Maximum Penalty $25,000
