What: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
Equine Use, Travel and Transport - Seasonal Restriction on Trail Travel through Mountain Passes.

When: From November 30 to June 30, annually.

Where: The following trails within Banff National Park:

1. Helen Lake and Dolomite Creek Trails through Dolomite Pass.
2. Mosquito Creek Trail over South Molar Pass.
3. North Molar Pass Trail over North Molar Pass.
4. Deception Pass Trail: From the Junction of the Baker Lake Trail to the junction of the Jones Pass Trail.

Penalty: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.

End date: Until further notice
