Superintendent’s Orders VISITOR REGISTRATION
Issued: June 26, 2025
Nothing in these Orders shall be construed so as to abrogate or derogate from the protection provided for existing aboriginal or treaty rights of the aboriginal peoples of Canada by the recognition and affirmation of those rights in section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982.
VISITOR REGISTRATION
What: Pursuant to Section 7.1(2) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following designated activity requires registration.
Designated Activity: To enter and travel within Thaidene Nëné National Park Reserve.
Authorizations:
- All visitors entering or travelling through the national park reserve must register online.
- Indigenous peoples who are harvesting or practicing traditional use are not considered visitors.
- Individuals holding leases within the Indigenous Protected Area are not considered visitors while on their leasehold.
Terms and Conditions
- Visitors must acknowledge and accept the visitor code of conduct.
- Visitors are not required to deregister.
Where: Within the boundaries of Thaidene Nëné National Park Reserve.
When: Year round
Why: The designation of these activities is necessary for Thaidene Nëné National Park Reserve management purposes.
From: June 26, 2025
End date: Until further notice
Penalty: Engaging in a designated activity without an authorization, or in contravention of the terms and conditions of an authorization, may result in a fine or court appearance under regulations pursuant to the Canada National Parks Act, and where applicable, the cancellation of the authorization.
