Dear colleagues,

Canada Day is a time to celebrate the people, places, and stories that define us as a nation. From coast to coast to coast, the places administered by Parks Canada continue to represent some of the most powerful symbols of Canadian identity.

Each year, we offer Canadians and visitors a chance to connect with one another in iconic natural and cultural spaces – places where history is honoured, diversity is embraced, and a shared sense of belonging is nurtured.

You can find details on the many activities taking place across the country by visiting Canada Day 2025. I encourage you to take part in the celebrations wherever you are, to proudly wear Canada’s colours or display a Canadian flag.

I also encourage you to participate in the O Canada! Station - a national initiative launched by Canadian Heritage in partnership with VIA Rail Canada. Members of the public are invited to record a short video sharing what makes them proud to be Canadian.

This summer, Parks Canada is proud to contribute to the Canada Strong Pass, which grants free admission to national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas. Additionally, the Pass offers a 25% discount on camping and roofed accommodations, inviting even more people to discover the best of what Canada has to offer.
