2025 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) at Parks Canada. This year’s campaign will be co-championed by myself, Andrew Francis, Vice-President, Finance and Rawan El-Komos, Vice-President, Human Resources and Employee Wellness. Together, we are honoured to lead this important initiative and encourage everyone to get involved.

As Canada’s largest workplace charitable campaign, the GCWCC creates lasting change in communities from coast to coast to coast. Your incredible generosity speaks volumes about who we are as Parks Canada team members: last year, we raised over $200,000 to support those in need.

How your support makes a difference

Through the GCWCC, you have the flexibility to support United Way, HealthPartners, or any other registered Canadian charity. United Way and HealthPartners have been chosen as the campaign’s Named Recipients because of their complementary roles in serving Canadians in need. Together, they are building stronger communities and healthier people across Canada.

Our collective impact

At Parks Canada, we know that strong communities are built on compassion and generosity. When we give, we help create a healthier, more resilient Canada. In 2024, the GCWCC raised almost $28 million for charity.

But remember: no donation is too small to make a difference. Together, our impact adds up.

Get involved today

Supporting the GCWCC is simple, whether you are in an office, out in the field, or working remotely. Beyond the financial impact, participating in this campaign strengthens our sense of connection and shared purpose as Parks Canada employees.

Additionally, we invite you to join the national GCWCC Campaign Opening Ceremony September 26 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. (EDT). This virtual event features many special guests, who will launch this year’s GCWCC and highlight the impact that charitable actions like this have in communities across Canada.

Ready to make your donation? Visit the GCWCC to get started.
